Spike Lee

Spike Lee - Born Shelton Jackson Lee American film director, producer, screenwriter, actor and professor. Spike owns his own production company, 40 Acres and Mule Filmworks has 35 films under its belt since 1983. His work is known for continually probing into race relations, colorism and the black community. Along with urban crime and poverty and contemporary life and other political issues. You could say Lee lives and breathe film with having taught a course at Harvard about filmmaking he then began to teach at New York University. His company has created an internship program for aspiring filmmakers. Lee continues to create and direct both independent films and projects for major studios, as well as working on story development, releasing music, and community outreach and support.
